The goal of bringing “A Lion’s Game” to life is to link a group of diverse cast & crew members to tell a story, while simultaneously building strong relationships within local communities. Your contribution helps make that possible so that not only are jobs created, but also opportunities to connect through the powerful medium of visual storytelling.

SYNOPSIS

A Lion’s Game is an Independent Feature Film in the tradition of high-concept crime thrillers like Molly’s Game, All The Money in the World, and Knives Out. At it’s core, it’s a story about loyalty, family, and the importance of never losing sight of what truly matters in life.

Since her dad left when she was twelve years old, Autumn Bennett has done whatever it takes to become successful. Now twenty-six and a high-powered tech-exec working alongside childhood best friend Michael West, Autumn’s world begins to crumble when she learns that her company owes debts in excess of $2 million.

Taking drastic measures, Autumn asks notorious loan shark Alejandro Vargas for the money. Given three weeks to repay the debt under the threat of death, things quickly go south when she loses all of Alejandro’s money in a shady investment deal.

With Alejandro’s deadline fast approaching, Autumn goes further than ever before in her attempts to get back the money. How far will her greed take her and what will be the consequences?

THE STORY INSPIRATION

I have always been a huge fan of Crime Thrillers, which is why Guy Richie and the late Tony Scott are two of my favorite directors. When Tony Scott’s life tragically ended in 2012, I always knew I wanted to make a movie in his honor.

In 2016, I did just that with our award winning short film, “The Norwalk Witness.” Now, after nearly five years of preparation, me and fellow Delaware Native Bella Dontine have written a solid script and are launching out into a new and bigger venture to make this movie in honor of Tony Scott’s memory.

 LOCATIONS

The producers will utilize any and all resources available to maximize the production value and distribution opportunities for the film. Principal Photography will be shot on location in Los Angeles with all 2nd Unit being shot on location in Delaware

Use of Los Angeles and Delaware’s film locations and resources, the assembly of a technical team of established professionals with proven excellence in their craft, and informed negotiations with potential distributors will all be key factors in helping ensure a quality finished product with strong market potential.

DISTRIBUTION

We currently have a working relationship with UKW Media who can help provide us with a few distribution options for our movie to land on either Roku TV or Amazon Prime. Our ultimate goal is wider distribution through theatrical release and/or other bigger streaming platforms, such as Netflix or Hulu.

Analysis of current market trends, such as the appetite and acclaim for films of this genre, as well as expanding digital distribution outlets, indicates that the film project stands a strong chance to excel in the current marketplace.

A FINAL WORD (OUR FILM PHILOSOPHY)

We firmly believe that films are not made by an individual, they are made by a family. Steven Spielberg once said, “you shouldn’t dream your film, you should make it. You have many years ahead of you to create the dreams that we can’t even imagine dreaming.”

Thank you for considering joining our filmmaking family to help us fulfill our dreams to make this movie.
